We center Black Scholars. All programs and services emphasize culturally responsive, whole-child, and healing-centered practices. We protect space for scholars' backgrounds, cultures, identities, and collective humanity

Our Lead Learner
Anthony Downer II is an abolitionist educator-organizer, curriculum developer, educational consultant, policy strategist, public speaker, racial equity and justice practitioner, researcher of critical race studies in education, and writer. Anthony serves as Equity Coordinator in City Schools of Decatur. He is also Founder and Lead Learner of Liberation Learning and Vice President of Georgia Educators for Equity and Justice, Inc., and host of the podcast show, dat way: conversations on education and liberation.
